Middle-aged flash packers

Left the cold and snowy climes of Heathrow and arrived in Miami on 4 Feb.
Good flight with AA – on time, plenty of films to watch and most importantly, tasty wine.
Miami airport , not so good.
Why is it that every airport in the world never has enough staff working in their immigration kiosks? Why do airports invest in technology to supposedly speed up the process, but which ends up either not working or is duplicated, meaning queuing not once but twice?! This was not only tedious for us, but butt-clenchingly tense for those with connecting flights. Grrr!
The Sleep Inn was a popular choice for many travellers including ourselves as it was very cheap. Comfy bed, good shower, eateries close by, what’s not to like? Enjoyed watching the Crossfit girls and boys doing their interval training from the gym opposite – missing you already Joe!
