Our next major stop is Slovakia where we hope to do some walking. I certainly need to, my stomach is beginning to show the signs of way too much food and alcohol.
Today was a long travel day. Romania has few motorways and most of the roads are like the UK’s were 40 years ago – single lane winding through towns and villages with the odd dual carriageway.
Nothing much to report other than a feeling of relief at reaching Oradea and enjoying the use of an outside jacuzzi and a cold beer. Usually we’d wander into town and have a look around, but neither of us could be bothered to do so today. A bit of travel fatigue setting in?
Tomorrow we go in and out of Hungary and arrive in strbske plesa in Slovakia.
