Middle-aged flash packers

Well an elongated stay at Hikkaduwa was not meant to be. We booked for 2 nights on the basis of if we didn’t like hikkaduwa we could move on and book another night
if we liked it.
Unfortunately it’s always a bit of a gamble that you can get another night and in this case we didn’t come up trumps. We only have one more night so it’s not worth moving to a different hotel. It’s off to Negombo tomorrow.
Yet again, Lonely Planet proves itself to be a rubbish guide. The beach here at Hikkaduwa is spectacular. It is also clean, which is a rarity here in SL. Will be sad to move on but we’re on our last couple of days now so we’ll just enjoy the sunshine and the beach. Over and out.
