Journey to Kardamyli

Today I woke up without a headache which is great as I can now get back on the wine.

We left lovely Nafplio and completed an epic drive the “long way round” route to Kardamyli. It took 5 hours and had we gone on the motorway it would have been about half that. It was worth it though. Hairpin bends took us through the Taygetos mountains and eventually down to the sea. I will let the photos speak for themselves. Mainly because I’m tired.

Kardamyli is a pretty town on the coast of the Mani region. Looking forward to exploring. Did manage a quick dip in the sea which was reasonably bracing but had to be done.

Beer, food and bed(preferably in that order) required.

Promise I’ll be more chatty tomorrow.
