Breakfast at Bosco Longhino was very welcome. A cornucopia of delights awaited us including crepes and Nutella – yum.
Danila took us to see the bottling of the wine which had now finished it’s process and gave us a bottle with strict instructions not to open it until at least 5 months. Christmas wine, how lovely.
And then the most tedious journey to our next stop of Mondolfo in Le Marche.I won’t bore you with it but getting around Bologna was a complete nightmare and we arrived at our destination far later than expected. However our host (Georgia)was bouncy and helpful and our apartment is gorgeous. Georgia is a style guru and has made the flat very comfortable with lots of quirky touches.
By the time we’d spoken to both our sons and eaten, it was nearly time to turn in, but I couldn’t go to bed without sitting on the balcony and watch the world go by.
Mondolfo a small, hilltop village, 7km from the sea. We are in the old part of town and it doesn’t seem as though many people live here but in true Italian style, chairs were brought out onto the street and the elderly local residents chatted to anyone who walked by.
Looking forward to exploring tomorrow.
