Middle-aged flash packers

Time for the bad pennies to move on again. Never nice leaving, but made worse for me as I picked up some virus and felt very unwell indeed. Still, we had a flight to Honolulu to catch so after another emotional parting from the Ozlings, Saturday saw us at Brisbane airport for the fifth time.
Very busy, with Hawaiian airlines hi-tech check in system not working as usual.
Very much feeling homeward bound now which is not good as it tends to make your outlook one of killing time, in anticipation of getting home, rather than enjoying the travel.
Flight was overnight and fine other than the aches from my virus made sleeping quite uncomfortable.
Much fannying around at Honolulu airport. Huge queues at immigration followed by a long wait for the mis-named speedi-shuttle to gather up their bus load of people.
Room not ready at Aqua Palms so walked down to the beach and got Steve something to eat. Luckily I was feeling quite a lot better as yesterday all I wanted to do was lie down and sleep and the hanging around would have been a nightmare.
Noticed a lot more rubbish lying around Waikiki this time – seemed busier and I guess that’s due to the tail end of the Easter holidays.
Filled the rest of the day napping, sitting on the beach and eating. Both of us feeling a bit glum which is awful really as we’re so lucky to be doing this. Hopefully we’ll have a bit more of a PMA tomorrow.
