Jordan Jaunts

The Fab Four have joined forces again.

This time our mission is to see as much of Jordan as is possible in a 17 day/18 night time frame.

This is not going to be an unfocused , random meander – oh no, we road warriors have honed our itinerary with precision and every second is accounted for. No stone will go unturned in the pursuit of uncovering the real Jordan.

Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. Jan and I have packed swimsuits and outfits suitable for some pool time and other leisure activities such as shopping, vodka has been purchased and Nik and Steve are already having a sneaky nap on the plane. But, in our defence, we do have a schedule, accommodation has been booked, cars are awaiting collection.

Our flight to Amman (the capital of Jordan) was uneventful, marred only by a couple of unholy stenches from someone sitting in front of us. Steve, Jan and I were literally holding our noses and gagging. Being the mother and wife of 3 males, I’m no stranger to occasional stinky wind but this was another level.

As our flight was scheduled to arrive in Amman at midnight, we decided to stay near the airport and collect cars and sims in the morning rather than head off into Jordan in the early hours. A slight confusion over transport to our accommodation was quickly overcome and here we are in our modest, but clean apartment. It’ll be a short night, but hopefully a few hours of sleep will be ours.

Let the expedition begin!
